Through telephone satellite links and wires, internet user can share information in a variety of forms. The size, scope and design of the Internet allow user to-

*Post information for other to access, and update it frequently.

*Connect easily through ordinary personal computer(PC)  and local phone number.

* Access multimedia information that includes sound, photographic images and even video and access diverse perspective from around the world.

* Exchange (Email) with friends and colleagues with account colleagues with accounts on the internet

What is E-mail?

Electronic mail, commonly known as email or E-mail is the method through which you can send messages to another net users. Originally, e-mail was always transmitted directly from one user’s device to another’s nowadays this is rarely the case. 

Internet addresses always follow this format-

username@gmail/yahoo/rediffmail etc.

*An electronic mail message consists of two components, the message header,and the message body, which is the email’s content.

*Originally a text-only communications medium, email was extended to carry multi-media content attachment, which were standardize in with Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions(MIME).

*Network-based e-mail was initially exchanged on the ARPANET in extensions to the file Transfer Protocol(FTP), but is today carried by the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol(SMTP) .

A web search engine is designed to search for information on the world wide web. The search results are generally presented  in a list of results often reffed to as search engine results pages.  

* A Search engine is an information retrieval system designed to help find information stored on a computer system.

*The most public, visible form of a search engine is a web search engine which searches for information on the world wide web.

*Search engines help to minimize the time required to find information and the amount of information which must be consulted to other techniques for managing information overload.
